Keeping art at the heart of our community

The Boring Gallery

The Boring Gallery is located at the front of the Whanganui Arts Centre.

We are a new, but becoming very popular, gallery, run by Peter Shepherd, known for the large steel animal sculptures and a range of quirky art.

We have a strong focus on recycling/upcycling and repurposing; producing an eclectic mix of art that will suit a wide range of tastes.

Also here at The Boring Gallery we have a very strong community focus, with all profits going back to the community via donation. So far we have given back over $7,000 and are on track to have given back $10,000 within our first year of trading.

The gallery is staffed by the artists, so come on in and meet the artists and see what’s happening at The Boring Gallery, which is forever changing.
